The redemption will then be processed by the Bunnings team member in accordance with these terms and conditions.

To participate in this promotion, you must:

  1. be 18 years or older at the time of entry.
  2. be a New Zealand resident; and
  3. complete a Qualifying Purchase (as defined below) at a Bunnings NZ store during the Promotion Period.

Qualifying Purchase

When a customer returns any brand 18V lithium power tool battery to trade in, they can
receive a $50 discount on one of two selected items.

to qualify for a $50 discount (as detailed in the Redemption Rewards below).

Trade ins must be made in store; online purchase do not qualify for the Offer. Purchases must be made during the Promotion Period.

Redemption Reward

For each Qualifying trade in the following Redemption Reward will be available instantly in store: $50 Discount on one of two items listed below.

In order to claim your Redemption Reward above, simply present battery for trade in as indicated above to complete your Qualifying Purchase.

Maximum Number of RedemptionsOnly one redemption is permitted for each Qualifying Purchase. Receipt numbers cannot be used more than once. Customers may submit multiple redemption requests anytime within the Redemption period provided they have met the Qualifying Purchase and Redemption Eligibility requirements for each request.

 

 

  1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
    1. By participating in this promotion, you are deemed to accept these Terms.
  2. ELIGIBILITY
    1. Except as set out at clauses 2.2 below, the promotion is open to those persons who meet the "Redemption Eligibility” criteria outlined above.
    2. Acting reasonably, we may exclude any person from entering the Promotion.
  3. ENTRY
    1. To enter the promotion, you must follow the "Redemption Request method" outlined above.
    2. “Qualifying Purchases” must be made during the “Promotion Period” as outlined above. All redemption requests must be made at the same time as the Qualifying Purchase. We do not accept responsibility for any requests which are not received in time.
    3. You may submit requests as many times up to the “Maximum Number of Redemption” as outlined above. Any further requests above such maximum will be disregarded.
    4. We may disregard any requests which are not submitted in accordance with the "Redemption Request method" specified above, are from individuals that do not meet the “Redemption Eligibility criteria” specified above, are received after the Promotion Period.
  4. OFFER
    1. The Offer and Redemption Rewards are as outlined above.
    2. to redeem the offer, an eligible claimant must, during the promotion period, bring a 18v battery into a bunnings store to trade-in in order to receive one (1) $50 discount on the purchase of a qualifying product.
    3. only one redemption offer can be redeemed per one (1)18v battery that is traded in along with the purchase of one (1) qualifying product. for example, an eligible claimant cannot redeem more than one $50 discount for the purchase of one (1) qualifying product. but an eligible claimant can redeem a $100 discount (but no more) for the purchase of two (2) qualifying products if two (2) 18v batteries have been traded in.
    4. You are responsible for any tax or other costs arising in relation to, or associated with, this Promotion.
    5. If we provide you with a refund for products (purchased in relation to this Promotion as part of a Qualifying Purchase) for a change of mind in accordance with our Returns Policy (available on our website), we reserve the right to request the return of the Redemption Reward. Notwithstanding in other terms or policy, your ability to obtain a full refund may be conditional upon you also returning the Redemption Reward at the same time.
  5. REDEMPTION
    1. You Redemption Reward (as specified above) will be listed on customers receipt at one cent. One of the Qualifying Tools purchased will be reduced in purchase price by one cent to offset the charge of the Redemption Reward. The redemption is completed this way toensure redemption items are recorded on a receipt to ensure you have a proof of purchase for warranty claims if required in the future.
    2. We may refuse to approve a Redemption Request to any person who, in our view (acting reasonably):
      1. is ineligible (in terms of clauses 2 or 3);
      2. has acted in a fraudulent manner;
      3. has breached these Terms; or
      4. has gained an unfair advantage in participating in this Promotion.
    3. Our determination of any Redemption Request will be final and binding, and no correspondence or other communication will be entered into.
  6. PUBLICITY AND PROMOTIONS
    1. You agree to participate in any publicity promotions or initiatives relating to the promotion which we reasonably require, in each case without compensation.
  7. PRIVACY
    1. You authorise us to collect, hold and use your personal information for the purpose of conducting the promotion, providing you with notifications or information regarding our products or services, engaging in publicity promotions and initiatives under clause 6 and for any other purpose specified in our privacy policy (which can be found on our website).
    2. We will not share your personal information except in connection with the purpose for which it is obtained, in accordance with our privacy policy or as permitted by New Zealand privacy laws.
    3. You understand that you have a right of access to, and may request correction of, personal information held by us about you, which you may exercise by contacting us in accordance with our privacy policy.
    4. If you fail to provide the personal information requested, we may refuse to accept your Redemption Request.
  8. GENERAL
    1. We will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury (including but not limited to any indirect or consequential loss) suffered or incurred by you (or any other person) as a result of or in connection with the promotion or your use or consumption of a Redemption Reward, except for any liability under the Fair Trading Act 1986 or Consumer Guarantees
      Act 1993 or other liability which cannot be excluded by law.
    2. We may, acting reasonably, replace or amend these Terms or modify, suspend, extend, terminate or cancel the Promotion at any time.
  9. DEFINED TERMS AND INTERPRETATION
    1. In these Terms, the following words have the following special meanings:
      1. "Terms" means these promotion terms and conditions (as amended from time to time); "we", "our", "us" means the Promoter of the promotion specified above (or, if not specified, Bunnings Limited); and "you" means a person entering the Promotion.
    2. For convenience, these Terms have been grouped under different headings, but the headings do not affect the meaning of these Terms.
